Attributed to the late Florentine master Agnolo Gaddi and executed shortly before 1387, this exquisite right panel depicts Saint Bernard and Saint Catherine of Alexandria alongside the Virgin of the Annunciation. Gaddi, inheriting the monumental legacy of Giotto through his father Taddeo, defines the transition into the Late Gothic style with lyrical drapery, delicate figural elongation, and a rich devotional palette.
